The ABE Program Office would like to take a moment to share our deep appreciation for Sherry Tsai, longtime site director for ABE-LA. Sherry has been at the helm of the very first flagship ABE program in Los Angeles, steered it through many changes in course, and has shepherded our largest ABE program site through the uncharted waters of a global pandemic and social unrest. Whether volunteering to pilot new initiatives like ABE Precision Medicine and the Amgen Volunteers Initiative, or contributing ideas and questions to the ABE community, Sherry’s incredible attention to detail, kindness, and desire to motivate all students to love science have shaped a better, stronger ABE.  As Sherry transitions away from her role in LA and explores new endeavors in Irvine, CA, we will miss having her as a thought partner and innovator.
