Dr. Giselle Yeo has been the site director at ABE Australia since 2018. In addition to her ABE role, Giselle is an accomplished, award-winning scientist working in the field of stem cell biotechnology. Giselle joined the ABE team while setting up her own lab at the University of Sydney. She has thrown her energy into both endeavors with unwavering vivacity, concurrently establishing a highly successful research lab and leading an ever-expanding and sought-after outreach program.

ABE Australia’s teachers benefit from Giselle’s extensive knowledge and connections to real-world biotech and its potential careers. Her teaching expertise is evident with her ability to tailor her explanations, examples, and analogies to suit various audiences, and she ensures that every teacher and lab technician is confident and skilled in the art of ABE. She constantly puts her hand up to be involved in outreach and extension work that brings biotech to underprivileged and underresourced students and has a great gift for developing fun and engaging activities.
